Hey! Do you want to find something fun in your mailbox with minimal risk of being charged with mail fraud (again?)
The resident listed on the official papers of the house, but it's uncertain whether she's actually in charge of anything. Hoping to become "Somebody" by finding what her calling is in this kooky mixed-up world.
Nobody's pet and a rare combination of cat and bird. SiSi believes they were laid and hatched in Spain on a Birdcava vineyard, but Nobody seems to recall SiSi arriving in the mail, still in an egg, purchased from a shady dealer on the east coast.
Every home needs a nosy neighbor that drops by unannounced. Nobody's neighbor just happens to be black and white and in a loveless but passionate marriage with her husband, Hard. A model and dancer before becoming a housewife, Busy sometimes offers advice to Nobody in her various predicaments, but more often is there to vent about her own problems or hide from her husband's demands for more snacks in his comfy chair. She looks to be the same age as Nobody, but she's in black and white so she must be older.
Nobody's talking, German Fridge. Everyone should have one, but they're a bit hard to get these days. She came with the house, is over 60 years old and going strong. She has very definite opinions about cuisine, healthy diet and housecleaning. Is often overlooked in favor of the magic cabinets that produces randomly compiled snacks.
The ghost of a woman named Annabelle Chantz that was murdered in 1896 by her secret lover at just two and twenty. (People looked older back then.) She is trapped a netherspace between our world and the afterlife. She calls it purgatory but it might also be a clerical error. Annabelle can still communicate with our world through the mirror in Nobody's bedroom.
Anybody represents the transactional relationships in our lives. The interactions we have with strangers that could turn into friendships if we weren't so scared of being vulnerable. Anybody has a rich inner life that we will never know until our protagonist, Nobody, opens up and lets more people into her life. Anybody is also a plot device used to write my way into an ending when I don't have one.
A centipede that lives in Nobody's bathroom. Since Nobody tends to have most of her emotional breakdowns in the bathroom, 99 is forced to dispense advice born from his surprising wealth of lived experience. Of course there's also every chance that he's making all of these stories up.
